OFFICIAL BOWDITCH PTSA DISCLAIMER ON USE OF MEDIA
The purpose of Bowditch PTSA’s Facebook group, Website, and weekly bulletin, the Bowditch Bulletin, is to further the PTSA and school's vision and mission, support student learning and staff professional development, and enhance communication with students, parents/guardians, staff, and community members. Users are expected to use these sites/platforms only for those purposes.
Bowditch PTSA maintains that by creating an official FB group, Website, and weekly bulletin, BUCC Bulletin, and allowing for public comment on some of these sites/platforms, it is not intending to create a limited public forum or otherwise guarantee an individual's right to free speech. Any views and comments expressed by users on these sites/platforms are those of the users and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Bowditch PTSA. Any user's reference to a specific commercial product or service does not imply endorsement or recommendation of that product or service by the Bowditch PTSA. All site/platform users are personally responsible for the content of their posts and the Bowditch PTSA is not responsible for the content of external online platforms. Users are expected to communicate in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner.
These sites/platforms are regularly monitored and any inappropriate posts, where relevant, will be promptly removed. Improper posts, including those that are obscene, libelous, or so incite people as to create a clear and present danger of the commission of unlawful acts, are a violation of Bowditch PTSA rules, or create substantial disruption of Bowditch PTSA’s orderly operation. This may also pertain to posts that are not related to the stated purpose of these sites/platforms, including, but not limited to, comments of a commercial nature, political activity, and comments that constitute discrimination or harassment.
